Boston-area singer and guitarist Chuck Clough performs solo throughout New England and with his band, The Butler Frogs.
Chuck’s acoustic sets draw from a wide-ranging mix of classic rock, singer-songwriter favorites, Yacht Rock, and deep cuts from the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s, and beyond. His repertoire includes songs by Tom Petty, Dave Matthews, The Kinks, The Eagles, David Gray, Ryan Adams, Billy Joel, The Beatles, Bread, Seals & Crofts, Coldplay, Bad Company, REO Speedwagon, Cat Stevens, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, Neil Young, and many more.
Over the years, Chuck has had the opportunity to open for nationally touring artists including America, The Wallflowers, and Gin Blossoms.
He has performed at venues throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, and the greater New England area, including The Cantab Lounge, Tree House Brewing Company, Aeronaut Brewing Company, The Plough and Stars, Berkshire Brewing Company, The Wayside Inn 1716 Beer Garden, Exhibit ‘A’ Brewing Company, Castle Island Brewing Co., Dirigible Brewing Company, LaBelle Winery, The Outlook at Nashoba Valley, The Sunset Tiki Bar, Wachusett Mountain, and Nashoba Valley Winery, among many others.
In 2020, The Butler Frogs released their EP, Last Call for Opinions.
Chuck was also a founding member of Northern Point (2005–2010), an acoustic trio from the New York/New Jersey area that released three albums: November, Northern Point: Live at St. James' Gate, and After the Frost.
Beyond performing, Chuck has long supported and chronicled the Boston music community. In 2016, he founded and co-hosted Above The Basement – Boston Music and Conversation with musician Ronnie Hirschberg. The podcast featured conversations with musicians and other creative artists and was named Podcast/Radio Show of the Year at the 2020 Boston Music Awards.
After more than 200 episodes, Chuck brought Above The Basement to a close and turned his focus back toward performing.
Outside of his musical career, Chuck recently earned his MA in History from Northeastern University in 2024.
Today, he continues to play throughout New England—revisiting the songs that shaped him, rediscovering the ones that somehow got lost along the way, and introducing them to new audiences one acoustic set at a time.

Whether it’s an intimate gathering, a lively private party, or a larger venue, I tailor the music to fit the room and the occasion. I can keep things mellow and laid-back when the setting calls for it, or ramp up the energy and get the crowd singing along. With a wide-ranging mix of familiar favorites, I’m a great fit for restaurants, breweries, wineries, corporate events, celebrations, and private parties of all sizes.
