HALLWAYS
The Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame Podcast
The Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame offers a home to honor the past, present and future of this important part of our music culture.
In 2019, Chuck Clough and Ron Hirschberg were proud to partner with The Boch Center and The Hall.
They hosted until 2020, when COVID hit, and the podcast went on hiatus. It was revived in 2024 with host Scott Towers, Director of Special Projects at The Boch Center.
The Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame Podcast celebrates the artists, songs, stories, and traditions that have shaped America’s rich musical heritage.
Through conversations with musicians, songwriters, historians, industry figures, and other special guests, the podcast explores the many branches of roots music—from folk, country, and blues to gospel, bluegrass, Americana, and beyond. Each episode looks at the people and places behind the music, uncovering the stories, influences, performances, and cultural moments that helped define generations of American music.
Produced in connection with the Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame, the podcast honors the legends who built these traditions while also highlighting the contemporary artists who continue to carry roots music forward.
More than a music-history podcast, it celebrates the connections between artists, audiences, communities, and songs—and the remarkable ways music travels from one generation to the next.
